Teksha is a British clothing brand committed to producing the highest quality products, whilst making sure we help the environment. We use GRS (Global Recycle Standard) yarns, which are made from recycled plastic bottles and all of our fabrics are dyed at Oeko-Tex® certified dye houses.
All clothing by Teksha is proudly 100% Made in Britain. From the knitting of the fabrics, to the clothes being sewn, every process is done here where we can pay extra attention to all the little details. Our workforce are all paid a living wage too, making sure you, we and the planet are all happy.
Using over 100 years of experience in textiles, we created Teksha with a mission in mind. We want to transform the standard for the fashion industry.
Sustainable clothing should be the new norm.
Sustainability can mean different things to different people. To us at Teksha, it means cutting out the middle men, no outsourcing overseas, using recycled yarn to knit our fabrics and manufacturing our clothing in-house. That means that our products have a much smaller carbon footprint than your typical clothing company, being a local operation and only travelling from our warehouse to your doorstep.
Teksha is a member of Made in Britain. We are the only company in the country that knits their own fabrics and produces their own clothes, keeping jobs and skills alive, here in Britain. All of our products are made in the UK.
Teksha is also a member of Sedex, used by more than 40,000 members in over 150 countries to manage performance around labour rights, health & safety, the environment and business ethics. Our clothing is 100% ethical.
Code of Supplier Conduct
Ethical. At Teksha, all our yarns are ethically sourced. This means that no child labour is used, working conditions are safe and hygienic, working hours are not excessive and regular breaks are implemented, wages are of the industry or country norm, employment is freely chosen, NO person will be taken against their will or forced to work and factories undergo rigorous checks and audits to make sure they are a safe and secure structure.
British. Our background is in knitting fabrics, and we’ve used this expertise to produce our own fabrics in our factory in Leicester, England. We also manufacture all of our clothing in Leicester. Keeping all production local, saving valuable air miles and greatly reducing our carbon footprint.
Quality. Our aim is to provide excellent quality clothing that is made from recycled fabrics and is itself recyclable. We use only fabrics that we have knitted ourselves, built to our own specifications where we have complete control and oversight.
Sustainable. We want our products to be the most sustainable option on the market. We wish to create a circular economy, in which clothing no longer uses virgin fibres for production. We want clothes to be recycled into new clothes indefinitely.
Ethically Sourced Products
Unethical working standards are a harsh reality for too many people around the world. Some being forced into child labour in disgusting conditions, many of whom are only 5, 6 and 7 years old.
As a worker living in the United Kingdom you are entitled to a minimum wage, regular breaks, a suitable and safe working environment and reasonable working hours. So why is it so different in other countries? Our ethical supplier ensure their yarns are produced in environments where all the points below and more are met.
We are proud to say that ALL of our clothing ticks ALL of those boxes and more.
